What To Expect

LIFE-CHANGING COMMUNITY

Everything we do at Chapel Hill Student Ministry is focused around one thing: connecting students with the life-changing love of Jesus. If you come out to an Awake service you can expect to experience exciting games, engaging worship, impactful messages, and most importantly: GENUINE, LIFE-CHANGING COMMUNITY.

Life Groups

Life Groups are where you share your voice. What are you struggling with? What do you think? Life Groups are a safe place where you can share and grow. More importantly, Life Groups are a real community of peers to do life with.

Meet Our Student Pastor

Matt Edwards

Matt has been on staff at Chapel Hill since 2017 and in full-time Ministry since 2013. Matt has a huge heart for students and their families, with the desire to connect them to the fulfilling life Jesus has for them. Matt has an incredible wife, Emily, who has been a part of ministry since day one. Together, they are raising two amazing boys, Leo and Sawyer. Though his passion and main focus is discipling students, you may also potentially engage with Matt as an adult Growth Group Leader or when he preaches on various Sundays. Originally from the coast of North Carolina, Matt loves anything related to the ocean, UNC, and the Carolina Panthers. Matt is always excited to meet new people and hopes to get to know you and your family! Feel free to reach out!
